Inclusion of soybean meal in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus x O. aureus) diets at two protein levels

Inclusion of soybean meal in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus x O. aureus) diets at two protein levels

Aquaculture 65(3/4): 251-261

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus x O. aureus) were given commercial hexane-extracted soyabean meal (SBM) to partly replace fish meal (CFM) at dietary protein, 24 and 32%. At each protein level, 30% FM protein was replaced by SBM with and without methionine supplementation. The experiment was done for 2 months in a recirculated rearing system.
