Infectivity and transmission of the haemagglutinating agent, MI-6, isolated in Mexico-a probable egg drop syndrome virus

Infectivity and transmission of the haemagglutinating agent, MI-6, isolated in Mexico-a probable egg drop syndrome virus

Veterinaria Mexico 18(4): 307-311

A study of infectivity and transmission of MI-6, a haemagglutinating agent suspected to be an egg drop syndrome virus (EDSV), demonstrated that MI-6 infects susceptible hens when given ocularly, but it is not transmitted to susceptible hens housed in cages in the same room, as evidenced by the absence of antibodies against EDSV in the uninoculated group.
