Field trials were conducted in Sweden in 1969-85 to determine the effect of environmental factors on the performance of 2.5-5.0 litres Oxytril 4 (ioxynil + bromoxynil + dichlorprop + MCPA)/ha. On av. 14% and 9% of weeds survived in winter and spring cereals, resp., after Oxytril application (results expressed as wt of weeds in sprayed plots relative to that in unsprayed plots (100%)). In both winter and spring cereals weed control was reduced if rain fell shortly before spraying.
