The duration of the period from 50% emergence to 50% maturity was studied in 15 F2-F3 hybrids from partial diallel crosses involving 5 varieties. Among the parents this period ranged from 118 days in Karshinskii 2 to 134 days in Ash25, while in the hybrids it ranged from 115 to 139 days, being earliest in Karshinskii 2 X 9732I. Positive heterosis was observed in all hybrids involving Ash25.
