Inheritance of earliness in first generation hybrids from complex crosses of garden pea

Inheritance of earliness in first generation hybrids from complex crosses of garden pea

Selektsiya ovoshchnykh kul' tur: 3-8

In complex hybrids obtained by crossing single F1 hybrids with varieties or other single hybrids in such a way as to involve the gametes of all the selected varieties in the final cross, partial dominance of lateness was the most frequent mode of inheritance. The cultivar Viola transmitted lateness to the hybrids in most crosses, while Rannii Gribovskii 11 weakly transmitted early flowering and Rannii 301 altered the pattern of dominance in the direction of earliness.
