Inheritance of yield components and predicting the effectiveness of selection in the second generation of spring durum wheat hybrids

A study of the F2 of 4 hybrid populations from crosses between short and tall varieties revealed the nature of the inheritance of yield and its components. Correlations between yield components were also determined, the highest being between yield and the number of grains/plant (r = 0.941-0.954).
