Inhibition of invertases in ratoon stunting disease of sugarcane

Indian Phytopathology 39(4): 506-508

Moist hot air treatment of RSD affected setts enhanced germination. This effect was due to high acid invertase activity in treated buds compared with its absence from untreated ones. A low neutral invertase activity was noticeable in RSD affected buds but this enzyme was absent from treated buds.
