Initial material for breeding grasses

Initial material for breeding grasses

Zashchita Rastenii, Moscow (11): 32-33

A range of forms of a number of grass species was evaluated under natural field infection in north western Russia for resistance to a number of fungal diseases. Forms with individual or combined resistances were selected. It was noted that Phleum pratense was more resistant to Erysiphe graminis than Dactylis glomerata or Festuca pratensis.
