Isozyme analysis in blueberry: Vaccinium subgenus Cyanococcus

Isozyme analysis in blueberry: Vaccinium subgenus Cyanococcus

American Journal of Botany 74(5): 670

Starch gel electrophoresis of 8 enzyme systems in the polyploid species V. corymbosum (2n = 4x = 48) and V. ashei (2n = 6x = 72) and 5 diploid species gave banding patterns for 12 putative loci. Polymorphism was evident at 3 loci (MDH-2, PGD-2 and PGI-2), and segregation data supported the conclusion that the observed variation was the result of monosomic inheritance.
