Abstract
Crossbred fine-wooled and Caucasian ewes with wool quality of 58s-60s were mated with North Caucasus Mutton-Wool, Polwarth, German Mutton Merino and Ile-de-France rams. For the daughters from the 4 types of mating (24-25 per group), body weight averaged 28.4, 22.5, 29.0 and 29.7 kg resp. at the beginning of finishing and 33.1, 31.0, 33.0 and 36.4 kg at slaughter, the consumption of FU/kg gain 7.74, 7.62, 7.02 and 6.04, dressing percentage 48.3, 42.1, 46.4 and 49.7, and internal fat weight 690, 620, 570 and 670 g.
