Methods of inducing moult in breeding turkeys and the results of multiple laying cycles

Methods of inducing moult in breeding turkeys and the results of multiple laying cycles

31 Internationale Geflugelvortragstagung Reproduktion von Geflugel Leipzig, Dezember 1987: 56-68

After a 1st laying season involving 3500 British United turkeys, moulting was induced by restriction of feed and water; 2500 of these birds were subjected to an induced moult at the end of the 2nd laying cycle. In all cycles, the birds were inseminated with semen from young cocks.
