Eleven isozymes systems were used to identify the extra chromosomes, originating from Beta procumbens, in progenesis of 33 monosomic additions in beet (B. vulgaris). Nine groups of monosomic additions could be distinguished, representing the nine different chromosome types of B. procumbens.
