Monosomic analysis of resistance to Septoria nodorum Berk in soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L. em. Thell (Vill) M.K.)

Monosomic analysis of resistance to Septoria nodorum Berk in soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L. em. Thell (Vill) M.K.)

The line L22, fairly resistant to S. nodorum, was used to pollinate 21 monosomic lines of Courtot. The F1 were grown with plants of L22 in a randomized trial and then inoculated. Compared with the disomic F1, the monosomics 3A, 4A, 2B, 5B, 2D and 7D were more resistant, as seen from the increased incubation time (LPI). The monosomics 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 1B, 2B, 5B, 7B, 2D and line L22 showed a reduced disease intensity (Pmax) in early July.
