Needs and prerequisites for an efficient programme of health education in schools: a perspective

School health education programmes are often planned within the context of the general state of health and education, and of the existing health services in a particular country. In focusing on the major problem of providing greater health care and education in developing countries, the article highlights the need for a more efficient and economic mobilization and utilization of available, often limited resources.
