Observations on the influence of colostral antibodies on the anamnestic response of calves revaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease

Observations on the influence of colostral antibodies on the anamnestic response of calves revaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease

Boletin del Centro Panamericano de Fiebre Aftosa (49/50): 19-26

Two doses, 105 days apart, of inactivated trivalent vaccine with aluminium hydroxide-saponin adjuvant or oil adjuvant were given to 59 calves aged 6-169 days, born to cows vaccinated every 6 months against FMD. Blood samples were taken before vaccination, at 105 days after first vaccination and at 7 days after revaccination, and were assayed for antibodies by the mouse protection test.
