, : Occurrence of root-knot nematodes in cardamom plantations of Karnataka. Indian Journal of Nematology 16(2): 269-270

A survey conducted during 1982 of cardamom fields and nurseries in Karnataka State, India revealed heavy Meloidogyne incognita infestation, with numbers ranging from 401 to 871/sample (10-15 g root and 250 g soil) of soil in fields and from 396 to 1327 in nurseries. Main pathogenic characteristics were: stunting, yellowing and drying of leaf tips, poor tillering, excessive branching of roots and reduction in yield.
