Two female M. natalensis heavily infected with L. carinii and one infected with B. pahangi were found to have opacity of the aqueous humour and cornea, during the patent stage of infection. At necropsy an adult female L. carinii was found in the left eye of 2 of the rats and an adult female B. pahangi in the right eye of the other.
