Pest management as a basis foundation for integrated farming systems

, : Pest management as a basis foundation for integrated farming systems. Proceedings of a meeting of the EC Experts' Group, Dublin, 12-14 June 1985: 143-150

The need is stressed for an integrated approach to weed and pest control in view of the undesirable consequences of the recent increasing reliance on herbicides and other pesticides. The development of integrated systems for vegetation management is proposed, whereby the role of weeds within the ecosystems is taken into consideration.
