Phagetypes of Str. agalactiae on two dairy farms in Slovenia

In 1980, milk samples from 360 cows and throat swabs and urine samples from 38 persons were examined on farm PA, and, in 1985, from 80 cows and 21 persons on farm RA. The 109 Str. agalactiae isolates from cows on farm PA were all serotype II/X; the ten strains phage-typed were all non-typable. Of the 38 persons, three were positive (a child and two milkers); serotype III was present in two and I in one.
