Pharmacokinetics of phenylbutazone in adult cattle following intravenous intramuscular and oral administration

British Journal of Pharmacology 92(Suppl.): 604P

In a three part crossover study, 6 lactating cows were given phenylbutazone (4.4 mg/kg) i.v., i.m. or by mouth. Following i.v. dosing disposition was described by a three compartment open model. Pharmacokinetic values for all three routes are reported.
