Photoperiodic and melatonin treatments for the control of seasonal reproduction in sheep and goats

Photoperiodic and melatonin treatments for the control of seasonal reproduction in sheep and goats

Reproduction, Nutrition, Developpement 28(2b): 409-422

A review, mainly of the authors' own work on Ile-de-France and Lacaune sheep and Saanen goats, in which it is concluded that total control of reproduction in sheep and goats by manipulation of photoperiod in open sheds and melatonin treatment appears feasible in both sexes.
