Quantifying initial quality and vigour of wheat seeds using regression analysis of conductivity and germination data from aged seeds
Regression methods using probit analysis linking seed quality with values obtained from controlled deterioration or artificial aging vigour tests are described. The usefulness of single seed conductivity procedures is assessed with examples obtained from several experiments on germination and field emergence of wheat Cook. Probit analysis provided an accurate quantification of quality initially and after aging.
