Relation between sink capacity and sink/source ratio, representing sink capacity per leaf area at heading time, in various types of rice cultivar

Relation between sink capacity and sink/source ratio, representing sink capacity per leaf area at heading time, in various types of rice cultivar

Japanese Journal of Crop Science 56(2): 265-267

Data are tabulated on grains/ear, grains/msuperscript 2, stem height and growth period for 41 varieties in 6 groups (Korean, Italian, IRRI, Japanese temperate, Japanese-bred large-grained and, lastly, a group comprising Japanese local varieties from Okinawa and Yaeyama-shoto in the Ryuku Islands together with red rice varieties and indica varieties) and the relationships between sink size and the sink/source ratio are plotted for each group.
