Response of F1, all-male hybrids following different methods of infection with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. asparagi

Response of F1, all-male hybrids following different methods of infection with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. asparagi

Proceedings of the sixth international asparagus symposium: 151-155

Sixteen all-male F1 hybrids and 2 populations of Early Argenteuil were inoculated in the greenhouse and scored for root infection. The same genotypes, together with 6 US hybrids, were also scored for percentage healthy roots and survival in naturally infected soil in the field. The greenhouse tests indicated that no hybrid was superior in resistance to Early Argenteuil.
