Rice drying, husking and milling: Part III Milling



Agricultural Mechanization in Asia, Africa and Latin America 18(4): 65-68



The performance of horizontal and vertical frictional mills and horizontal abrasive mills was investigated on long and short grain rice to determine their effect on broken grain ratio, milling ratio and milling efficiency. The horizontal abrasive mill produced the least broken rice and the horizontal frictional mill the most.
