Rice tungro virus

Rice tungro virus

Technical Bulletin of the Tropical Agriculture Research Center (21): 3-13

The host range and symptomatology, transmission by leafhopper vectors, spp. composition and population density of vector spp. of the disease caused by a complex of rice tungro spherical virus and rice tungro bacilliform virus in paddy fields, relation with cells and tissues, purification, serological detection and the occurrence of the disease in Nepal are reviewed. The viruses were separately purified and antisera specific to each were prepared.
