Seasonal changes of leaf damage and parasitism of the apple leaf miner, Phyllonorycter ringoniella (Matsumura) in relation to the management and varieties in apple orchards

The rate of leaf damage and the actual area of leaf damaged by Phyllonorycter ringoniella, and the parasitism of the gracillariid by Hymenoptera, were investigated in apple orchards in the Korea Republic in 1982-83. Leaf damage rate was higher in May-August in orchards sprayed occasionally than in those sprayed regularly, but the reverse was true after September, and seasonal changes in leaf damage appeared to vary according to the apple variety.
