Simulating the growth and yield of Florunner peanut

A groundnut crop growth simulator (PNUTGRO) was developed. It is a physiologically-based crop model which responds dynamically to daily weather inputs, and considers crop C, N and soil water balance. Processes associated with C balance include canopy photosynthesis, C allocation to different plant parts, growth and maintenance respiration and tissue abscission. The N balance includes N input from N assimilation, internal re-mobilization to seeds and loss in abscinded parts.
