Abstract
Mukurozi-saponins Y1 and Y2, bisdesmosides from pericarps of Sapindus murkurossi, greatly increased the water solubilities of the co-occurring monodesmosides. The mode of solubilizing properties of these saponins were investigated. These bisdesmosides also increased the solubilities of Yellow OB and progesterone in phosphate buffer.
