Post-harvest applications of benomyl (750 p.p.m. a.i.) and/or gibberellic acid (150 p.p.m.) were assessed in ginger rhizomes, harvested 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 months after planting. The mixture of benomyl and gibberellic acid was most effective in controlling rot, wt loss and sprouting. Gibberellic acid at 150 p.p.m. had no effect on sprouting; but benomyl at 750 p.p.m. a.i. significantly controlled rots.
