Abstract
The opt. temp. for sporulation in mycelial mats grown on oatmeal agar was 25 degrees C after culturing at 25 degrees for 10 d. Spores germinated best at 25 degrees on onion scale epidermal strip. The rate of appressorial formation was highest at 25 degrees and germ tube growth on the epidermal strip decreased in the order: 32 degrees > 25 degrees > 20 degrees > 15 degrees .
