Structural and functional studies on polysaccharides of Corynebacterium michiganense subsp. sepedonicum

Structural and functional studies on polysaccharides of Corynebacterium michiganense subsp. sepedonicum

Mikrobiologicheskii Zhurnal 49(5): 22-26

Homogeneous polysaccharide components of the cell wall of C. michiganense subsp. sepedonicum (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus) 7756 and 7757 were isolated and the partial structure of their repeating chain determined. The chain is made up of hexasaccharide units containing 4 remnants of L-rhamnose, 1 remnant of D-fucose and 1 remnant of beta -hexuronic acid.
