A population of Myzus persicae was selected for 20 generations with the insecticide oxydemeton-methyl in the laboratory in the Korea Republic, and resistance increased linearly with succeeding generations, reaching 355.5-fold with an exposure period of 24 h and 359.9-fold with one of 48 h, at the 20th generation. The population also developed cross-resistance to cypermethrin (770.1- and 778.5-fold for the 2 exposure periods), acephate (25.6- and 33.2-fold) and pirimicarb (3.4- and 3.6-fold).
