Studies on exudative epidermitis in pigs. III. Antibiotic susceptibility of Staphylococcus hyicus subsp. hyicus

Studies on exudative epidermitis in pigs. III. Antibiotic susceptibility of Staphylococcus hyicus subsp. hyicus

Korean Journal of Veterinary Research 27(2): 215-221

The growth of all 204 strains of Staphylococcus hyicus subsp. hyicus isolated from piglets with exudative epidermitis and healthy pigs was inhibited by cloxacillin (Cx) at a concentration of 0.8 micro g/ml, cefazolin (Cf) at 0.4 micro g/ml, and by gentamicin and methicillin at a minimum inhibitory concentration of 3.2 micro g/ml.
