Studies on the relative occurrence of leaf-gall midge (Procontarinia matteiana Kieffer and Cecconi) on different varieties of mango in south Gujarat, India

The average percentages of leaves of 3 varieties of mango damaged by Procontarinia matteiana at 17 places in Gujarat, India, in 1984 and 1985 were 47.70 for Alphonso, 27.21 for Kesar and 25.80 for Rajapuri. The varietal susceptibility of 24 varieties cultivated at a fruit research station is reported.
