Of 9 introduced sweet sorghum tested, Cart gave the highest stalk yield of 33.99 t/ha. Yield was significantly increased by applying 50 kg N/ha; it was not further increased with 100 kg N. Yields were higher in rows 45 cm apart than in rows 60 or 75 cm apart. Postponing sowing from June to Aug. decreased yield.
