The metabolizable energy (ME) and crude protein (CP) requirements during pregnancy of Suffolk X Galway ewe lambs, mated at 8 months of age, were examined. 193 ewe lambs were fed diets with 8 or 12 MJ ME per day, and given medroxyprogesterone acetate intravaginal sponges and PMSG.
