The level of education of the private farm manager and the efficiency of his farm

The influence of the level of education on the efficiency of the farm manager in Poland was assessed on the basis of a study carried out in 1981/82. 1420 farms were selected at random from around the country. As the average level of education increased, so did the average farm size and the average number of workers employed on the farm. However, the average age of the farm manager fell.
