Thin-layer drying of barley at low temperatures

Thin-layer drying characteristics of barley were determined at temp. ranging from 5 to 35 degrees C and RH ranging from 35 to 80% for two airflow rates (0.3 and 0.6 msuperscript 3 s-1 m-2) and an initial moisture content of 16.5% (wet mass basis). The experimental drying apparatus is described and illustrated.
