Threshing efficiency of pulses using step-wise regression technique

Agricultural Mechanization in Asia, Africa and Latin America 19(3): 55-57

Step-wise multiple regression was used to study the relationship between different independent variables (cylinder type, concave clearance, cylinder peripheral speed and m.c.) in relation to 2 dependent variables (threshing efficiency and invisible grain damage to pulse grains). An experimental model of a pulse thresher without a cleaning and separating unit was developed in which the machine and operational parameters could be varied.
