Thylakoid structure and function in relation to leaf phosphate status in sugar beet

Thylakoid structure and function in relation to leaf phosphate status in sugar beet

Progress in Photosynthesis Research Volume 3: 755-758

Low P treatment of hydroponically grown sugarbeet had little or no effect on thylakoid polypeptide composition, photosynthetic quantum yield, PSI electron transport/cmsuperscript 2, number of PSII reaction centres/cmsuperscript 2, cytochrome-b559/cmsuperscript 2, chlorophyll protein complex a (cPa) chlorophyll/cmsuperscript 2, cytochrome-f/cmsuperscript 2, chlorophyll-a:chlorophyll-b ratio, PSII electron transport/cmsuperscript 2 and ratio of PSII:PSI fluorescence at 77 K.
