Ticks and blood parasites of livestock in Senegal. II. The Sahelian zone



Revue d' Elevage et de Medecine Veterinaire des Pays Tropicaux 40(2): 119-125



The findings of a study on ticks and blood parasites of sheep and goats of the Sahelian area in Senegal are reported. Systematic removal of ticks from 40 sheep and 40 goats was performed over a 15-month period to determine population dynamics and preferential sites of the different species.
