Tillage effects on erosion and sediment sizes

Tillage effects on erosion and sediment sizes

Transactions of the ASAE, American Society of Agricultural Engineers 31(2): 402-407

This research study determined how tillage timing and frequency, separately from other factors such as crop and residue, affected soil erosion as predicted by the USLE equation. Using a rainfall simulator, evaluations of different tillage treatments were made from measurements of runoff, soil loss and soil particle sizes.
