Titanium uptake by tomato test plant

Kerteszeti Egyetem Kozlemenyei 50 (18)(1): 37-45

Ti uptake was studied in plants growing in nutrient solutions. Ti was applied in the nutrient solution to the roots, or by spraying onto the leaves, in two forms, titanium tetrachloride or a chelate complex formed with ascorbic acid, each at 2 concentrations (2 and 5 mu g/ml). Ti was taken up by roots and leaves and was translocated in both directions. The higher concentrations resulted in increased uptake.
