Data on 80 Red Sindhi cows recorded in 1960-80 were studied. For heifers calving first at <30, 30-36, 36-42, 42-48 and >48 months of age, lifetime milk yield averaged 5216.04, 6321.16, 5769.52, 6289.12 and 5708.23 litres resp., and dry period 201.42, 308.21, 209.23, 352.81 and 409.61 days.
