Produced by the University of Missouri for the US Travel and Tourism Administration, and the Economic Development Administration of the US Department of Commerce, the book, originally produced in 1978, has been revised and expanded. It is organized to follow a general planning process designed to assist local US communities interested in initiating, developing and assessing their tourism potential as a component of their economic development plan.
