Use of synthetic lysine in the feeding of heavy pigs

Use of synthetic lysine in the feeding of heavy pigs

Atti della Societa Italiana delle Scienze Veterinarie 39(2): 491-493

From about 28 kg liveweight 60 female and castrated male pigs in 3 groups were given to appetite diets based on maize and barley with soyabean oilmeal 20 and 15% during the growth phases to 70 and from 70 to 140 kg or with 25 and 30 or 50 and 60% of the soyabean oilmeal replaced by maize and barley meals and with supplementary synthetic lysine 0.17 and 0.15 or 0.32 and 0.30% during the 2 growth phases, respectively.
