Virulence characteristics of a north Caucasian population of Puccinia recondita Rob. ex Desm. f. sp. tritici Erikss. et Hen

During 1980-84 the population in this area of European Russia consisted of 15 races, among which race 77 predominated. The frequency of the virulence alleles p14a, p16 and p26 was 11.2, 20.2 and 40.4%, respectively. The wheat frequency of virulence gene p10 was not greater than 18.8%.
