Abstract
In dwarf wheat cv. HD-2189 irrigated with at 60 or 80 mm water/irrigation IW:CPE [irrigation water depth:cumulative pan evaporation] ratios of 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 or 1.2, av. water use from the 0.15, 15-30, 30-45, 45-60 and 60-75 cm soil depth layers was 184-198, 90-94, 61-63, 41-45 and 21-23 mm, resp. The water use from different soil layers increased with increase in IW:CPE ratio and was higher with 60 mm irrigation depth than with 80 mm depth.
