A new non-glutinous photosensitive male-sterile rice line

Zuowu Pinzhong Ziyuan (4): 48

The line is derived from a spontaneously male-sterile plant identified at the Anjiang Agricultural School, Hunan province. Plants are male-sterile under long days and high temperatures but male-fertile under short days and low temperatures. Under natural conditions, the continuous period of stable sterility is about 50 days.
